Ben is a Petroleum Engineer with over two decades of experience providing technical support to the amine industry as an operator, technical specialist, and consulting engineer. He joined Amine Experts in 2003 and has worked in over 25 countries on hundreds of various amine systems, providing expert assistance and advice regarding plant operations, troubleshooting, optimization, and operator training.
He has written and presented papers worldwide at various conferences such as Laurence Reid, SOGAT, NACE, and Sulphur. Ben is one of the primary speakers at Amine Expert's world-recognized Amine Treating Technical Training Course and heads our amine service practice area. He is responsible for aligning our amine services with customer needs and ensuring our position as a world leader in this area is maintained. Engineer Spooner is the key technical contact for clients seeking information and support on amine-related issues.
Michael has been involved in the gas processing industry for 43 years. He has a long history of expertise in training operators and engineers in gas processing as well as troubleshooting all aspects of upstream gas treating processes. More recently, he has focused on dehydration and amine sweetening as a senior principal engineer for both Amine and Dehydration Experts. He is one of the Principal Speakers of the Amine Experts’ 5-day Amine Treating and Sour Water Stripping Technical Training Courses, as well as the 4-day Dehydration Course.
He is an authority on gas processing and has provided technical support to over 500 facilities in every continent (except Antarctica). He has been published in the Oil and Gas Journal, Hydrocarbon Processing, LNG Magazine and Chemical Engineering magazine and has presented at various conferences, including the LRGCC, GPA Midstream, NACE, SOGAT, Sulphur, and AFPM. Michael is also a Senior Advisor to the Laurance Reid Gas Conditioning Conference in Norman, Oklahoma. He has multiple publications on topics as far-reaching as Inlet Separation and Filtration, Amine Sweetening, Glycol Dehydration, Corrosion, and Sour Water Stripping. He is also one of the principal authors of the Amine Treating and Sour Water Stripping textbook. Michael is a Professional Engineer in Alberta (APEGA), is a member of the Gas Processors Association of Canada (GPAC) and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE).
Jan Kiebert has B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Economics. He has over 20 years of experience and has been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering inspections, design evaluations, testing and optimization projects for a wide range of facilities and clients. Jan is also a specialist regarding burner systems for sulphur recovery plants and process incinerators.
Jan is one of the primary speakers at our world-recognized Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Courses. Since 2005 Jan has worked in more than 30 countries, conducting on-site training courses, and assisting with optimization and improvement of Sulphur Recovery Units. Before joining our team, Jan was Marketing and Sales Manager with Duiker Combustion Engineers and was involved in worldwide sales of combustion equipment.
A chemical engineer by training, since 2004 Joe has specialized in sulphur recovery and tail gas treating, as well as amine treating and sour water stripping. Joe has twelve years of experience as an engineer and technical supervisor in operating facilities in addition to his experience as a consultant. His experience includes project review and approvals, plant design and construction, commissioning and start-up, turnaround planning, and execution, failure investigations, as well as running plant optimization. He has a special focus on process safety and PHA support for gas treating and sulphur recovery units. Joe has presented at international conferences in North America, the Middle East, and South America. He is a co-presenter of Sulphur Experts’ Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Course and provides virtual and on-site training for engineers and operators around the world.
Blake is a Chemical Engineering Technologist with more than sixteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Blake has experience in a wide range of sampling activities including high pressure reservoir fluid, well head, and separator-based systems. Blake has worked in several types of laboratories over his career and has experience with phase behavior studies, gas chromatography, and other related oil and gas analytical testing. Beyond field work he also has extensive experience in field project management, sales, and asset management.
Dan has over 15 years of experience in process-related analytical chemistry in the oil and gas industry. Dan has expertise in Gas Chromatography and Ion Chromatography, field testing, and on-site process evaluations. Dan has also worked in analytical chemistry research and development and helped develop the Sulphur Experts H2S in Liquid Sulphur FTIR Analyser. Dan has global oil and gas field experience including working on projects in 30+ countries spanning 6 different continents. In addition, Dan also has experience in environmental testing and remediation in the oil sands of northern Alberta.
Dan joined Sulphur Experts in 2006 as an Analytical Specialist and has been directly involved with testing sour oil and gas facilities and evaluating sulphur recovery processes alongside Sulphur Experts Engineers for plant optimization and reliability. He also works closely with our Amine Experts group, testing amine units. In 2009, Dan became the Regional Technologist for Europe, Asia, and The Middle East, which had him overseeing our European lab and all analytical projects within those global regions. In 2013, Dan transitioned to the corporate position of Analytical Manager, a role overseeing all the Sulphur Experts laboratories, chemists/technologists, and analytical projects.
Most recently in 2019, Dan became the Regional Manager for Canada overseeing the Canadian division’s operations.
Since 1999, Derek has been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting work. He has provided expert advice and technical support in plant inspections, testing and plant optimization for the sour gas and oil refining industries. This includes working on plant optimization projects in more than 100 operating facilities around the world. Derek is the Director of Global Business Development, in this role he oversees all commercial and marketing strategies, manages sales staff, and plays a key role in bridging commercial and production resources in the company.
Joining Sulphur Experts in 1996, Farsin began his career with Sulphur Experts in Germany. Now in Canada, he has been directly involved in all aspects of our process engineering consulting work for over 20 years. Farsin is one of our most experienced and well-traveled sulphur plant engineers, providing expert advice and consulting services to clients around the world. His specialty areas include sulphur plant troubleshooting and process optimization.
As the Operations Manager, Farsin is responsible for developing our engineers, scientists, and technicians, and overseeing the company’s production and quality control. He is also responsible for ensuring that strategic plans are effectively aligned with daily operations, and to implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes that add value to our company services.
On a personal front, Farsin is also an avid photographer where he combines his hobby with his work and photo documents all the wonderful places he has visited.
Toine joined Sulphur Experts Inc. in 2022 as the Director of US and Latin America. With a strong background in sales management, strategic planning, and business analysis, Toine is bringing years of experience and successful operations to our team. He will play an essential role in leading and managing US and LATAM Operations, providing strategic and operational input as well as being knowledgeable on all projects executed in the region. Toine has experience in P&L statements, refinery operations, process engineering and environmental services through his time managing multiple teams across the oil and gas industry in both the US and Europe. Toine has vast knowledge of the amine hygiene sector and has played a critical role in the evolution of industry-leading reclaiming technology. He has a strong background in chemical engineering coupled with a client-focused approach to sales, allowing him to bridge the gap between commercial and operational challenges to ensure smooth operations for our staff and our clients.
In his free time, Toine is the President of the NAF Houston Business Exchange Subcommittee, representing the Houston Region in the Netherlands American Business Council. This council is aimed at helping companies from the Netherlands that are interested in doing business within the United States. He is a part of the planning process to arrange periodic networking meetings and offers a range of services to encourage and facilitate the growth of bilateral trade business relationships between the Netherlands and Texas. As a Dutch guy himself, Toine enjoys spending time outside of work on his bicycle.
David is a Process Engineer with Sulphur Experts and is directly involved in the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery plants, including a variety of tail gas clean-up units, sour gas processing, and oil refining industries. Before joining Sulphur Experts in 2012, David completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary. David has a direct working knowledge of sulphur recovery plant performance testing, process stream and amine sampling, process simulation optimization.
Frederic joined our team in May of 2012 and has since been involved in all aspects of our analytical testing. This analytical testing involves the sampling of the Sulphur recovery and amine units and gas and liquid analysis. He has experience sampling and analyzing gas plants using predominantly gas chromatography, in addition to infrared spectroscopy, ion chromatography and liquid chemistry analysis. Frederic graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Eduardo has worked successfully on more than 80 different projects located over 5 continents performing environmental evaluations, SRU, amine and SWS, technology assessments, emissions control, troubleshooting, capacity evaluations, energy assessments and optimization, operator and engineer training. He has written publications related to process failures and has presented our papers at international conferences. Eduardo is a high-performance process engineer, focused and ready to work under pressure accomplishing challenging tasks and high standard objectives in areas related to Operations, Commercial, Engineering and Environment. He has led operation teams for 3 years and has worked very closely with petroleum, hydrotreating, natural gas facilities and SRU unit operations for over 10 years. Eduardo is leading our Business Development in Latin America providing full bilingual technical and commercial coverage around the region.
Kaiyr holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Kaiyr joined our team in 2018 and is a member of our global technical team, he is involved in amine and sulphur plant testing, troubleshooting, and optimization projects. Through his previous experience as a commissioning engineer in the EPC sector, Kaiyr was involved in engineering and construction support, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and initial operations of sulphur and amine plants and their utilities.
Steve is a Chemical Engineer with 13 years of experience in gas processing. He has been involved in natural gas projects all over the world providing knowledge and training in hydrate control, gas dehydration, gas sweetening amine, and glycol reclamation, and liquids recovery. Steve has supported these areas with expertise in plant simulation, process design, operation troubleshooting, and start-up support. Steve has been involved in the advancement of glycol reclamation technologies through research and patent development.
Tim is a Process Engineer with over 8 years of experience. He joined our team following the completion of his Engineering Degree, and since then has worked in over 20 countries providing on-site testing and troubleshooting support to clients around the globe. His primary area of expertise is sulphur plant troubleshooting and optimization.
Tim is also the Regional Engineer for Canada and is technically responsible for all of the projects in this region.
Drew is a Red Seal Journeyman Millwright with 18 years of experience in the natural gas compression and process industry. Early in his career, Drew was intensively involved in the maintenance and overhauling of low/high-speed natural gas engines and compressors. Drew gradually worked into more gas processing systems (Amine, Dehydration, Refrigeration, Frac trains), and later attended the GPO (Gas Process Operations) course offered at SAIT polytechnic. Working for various packagers over the years, Drew has been involved in the design, application, and setup of a variety of process packages and their associated equipment. In 2016 Drew became an accredited commissioner for Caterpillar 3600 series natural gas engines. Being a process specialist, Drew has been involved globally in a variety of gas processing plants. These responsibilities included construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, general operations, and troubleshooting.
Joining our team in 2019, Drew works in the Dehydration Division as a Sales Specialist. His focus is the business development of the of Dehydration Experts division, involving TEG/DEG dehydration, EG-Refrigeration, Mole sieve, and fractionation systems.
Leah Goettler is a Chemical Engineer graduate from the University of Alberta with 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer at Sulphur Experts. During that time, she has been directly involved in more than 35 different sulfur recovery plant projects, with work ranging from testing and optimization to design evaluations across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. She co-authored “The Impact of Biofeed Co-processing on Conventional Refinery Amine, Sour Water Stripping, and Sulphur Recovery Units”, and presented that paper at the 2021 Advanced Amine Treating and Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Course.
Logan joined our team in 2019, shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University – Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and double minors in Math and Chemistry. While at Texas A&M University, Logan completed courses that make him an asset to our team of experts. Logan is trained in Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Chemical Process Design, and Process Simulation. Logan has researched the Methanol Synthesis from Gas and has extensive experience using ASPEN and MATLAB. Logan travels to the US refineries and collects samples, he then analyzes the samples either on-site or at our lab using gas and ion chromatography.
Matthew Unsworth is a Chemical and Process Engineer passionate about sustainability and pollution mitigation. While studying in university, the issue of climate change captured Matthew’s imagination and he understood that this was a problem worth working on. As a result, he pursued an internship with Shell Canada’s Energy Transition Program, allowing him to focus his attentions on energy transition technical project development and GHG modelling. Wanting to further his training on engineering pollution mitigation technologies lead him to SGS Sulphur Experts to gain hands on experience with sulphur recovery units, amine systems and troubleshooting of oil and gas facilities. Since joining the company in June 2024, Matthew has been a part of engineering support teams for gas plant shutdowns, refinery performance evaluations, and data analysis for technical presentations and reports. Overall, Matthew is excited to see the impact of his work with global clients across 6 continents and is grateful for the opportunity to impact good stewardship of the environment at such a scale.
Megan is a process engineer with 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focused on sour water stripping. She graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2021. Her previous experience includes supporting daily operations of sour water strippers, amine plants, and sulphur recovery units at a large upgrading facility. She also has experience in Turnaround planning and execution. Megan joined our team in June 2022 and is involved in the testing and optimization of Sulphur recovery facilities, and control narrative development.
Nick Joined our team in 2022 shortly after graduating from the University of Alberta with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is currently an engineer in training working towards obtaining his professional engineer designation. Nick is involved with the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery units. Using collected samples, he simulates sulphur recovery units using ASPEN HYSIS to evaluate recovery efficiencies. He then uses those outputs to make recommendations troubleshooting issues and improving plant performance.
Pablo joined our team in 2022 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He focuses on the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery units. Using collected samples, he simulates sulphur recovery units using HYSYS and ProMax to evaluate their performance. He then uses those results, along with field observations, to make recommendations to improve plant performance and aid troubleshooting.
In his spare time, Pablo enjoys working out and being out in the elements. This includes snowboarding, hiking, running, camping and dirt biking.
Riley is a process engineer with 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focusing on natural gas processing. His previous experience includes troubleshooting dehydration and refrigeration systems, supporting day-to-day operations at a large natural gas processing facility, and participating in HAZOP studies. He joined our team in April 2020 and has since been involved in the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery facilities, as well as providing support to our Dehydration Division. In his spare time, Riley enjoys spending time being outside golfing, hiking, and camping.
Tom joined our team in May 2012 and has since been involved in all aspects of their analytical testing work. Experience includes sampling gas and liquid process streams from sulphur recovery and amine units as well as gas and liquid analysis using gas chromatography and ion chromatography. He is involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant and amine plant performance testing services including sample collection and analysis. Tom has a competent knowledge of gas chromatographic techniques specific to sulphur plants and related process gas applications
Christina joined our team in January 2013 and has since been involved in all aspects of our analytical testing work. Experience includes sampling gas from sulphur recovery and amine units as well as gas and liquid analysis using gas chromatography and ion chromatography. She has been involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant and amine plant performance testing services including sample collection and analysis. Christina maintains and calibrates laboratory instruments and equipment as required by the manufacturer's recommendations and ISO standards. She enjoys the outdoors with many hobbies such as snowboarding, dirt biking, kiteboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, and anything that gets the blood pumping in her spare time.
Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Hague University of Applied Sciences. He has since joined our European office located in Katwijk, NL as a technologist, he responsible for completing high-level analytical projects. Kevin visits refineries all throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia where he collects gas and liquid samples to analyze using gas and ion chromatography. Having an active role in the field, Kevin enjoys the diversity of the analytical work Sulphur Experts conducts along with the complex engineering studies.
Olga graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2019. She is well versed with titrations, HPLC, GC-FID, GS-MS, ICP-MS, UV-VIS, IR, and IC with experience in synthesizing, analyzing, and isolating various compounds via SPE, liquid-liquid extraction distillation, and vacuum filtration. Olga has unique experience using spectroscopic and chromatographic methods such as UV-Vis, AAS, flame and plasma emission methods, liquid, gas and ion chromatography. She is intimately involved in all our analytical work including on-site sampling and gas analysis via gas chromatograph working within sulphur recovery units and amine treating systems throughout Canada. In addition to her strong analytical background and in-depth understanding of natural sciences and mathematics, she brings stellar client communication skills as she is fluent in English, Romanian, Russian, and Spanish!
Yuy joined the Sulphur Experts family in March 2020 and is based in our Dutch office in Katwijk. She was born and raised in a small town in the province Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. At the age of 11 she moved to the Netherland and grew up in Rotterdam. Choosing a career path at 17 was a tough thing to do but Yuy knew early on she does not want to have a boring desk job. Therefore, she has chosen to study Analytical Chemistry and specialized herself in Forensic Analysis. Yuy enjoys working with her hands and having diversity in the workplace. During her years as a Chemistry student, she built up experience in different areas of Chemistry such as food, petrochemical, and polymers at different international companies. Now, working as a technologist at Sulphur Experts Yuy is very grateful she was given this opportunity. A hands-on work and travelling the world at the same time is pretty much the dream job she had in mind.
Caroline joined our team in 2006 and is involved in chemical analyses, lab equipment maintenance and logistics. She performs routine wet lab analyses which include SWS titrations and Ion Chromatograph analysis for NH3, NOX, SO2. Caroline is responsible for keeping an inventory of all chemicals, gases, instruments, and supplies for the lab and fieldwork. She handles shipping, tracking, and receiving of field equipment for jobs which include creating shipping lists, commercial invoices, and shipper’s declaration for dangerous goods for our Calgary office in Alberta, Canada.
Skyler is a certified Engineering Technologist with extensive experience in gas chromatography and other sampling and analytical methods associated with gas processing. Since 2006, Skyler has been involved in all aspects of the gas plant and refinery sampling and analytical testing work. He routinely conducts on-site gas analyses by GC and provides results for use in process evaluation and optimization. This work includes sampling within the sulphur recovery and amine units of gas processing facilities around the world.
Joining Sulphur Experts in 2006, Lisa has a strong background in Health and Safety. She specializes in developing, recommending, and overseeing the implementation of policies and procedural frameworks, systems and standards guiding the implementation of a safety program. Along with providing expert advisory services and monitoring the delivery of safety programs. She holds a diploma and numerous certificates from accredited institutions in environment, health, and safety. She has 14+ years of related health and safety experience, and extensive knowledge of the OH&S Act, regulations, and industry best practices, for Canada, the USA, and Europe. She is a self-motivated team player and is enthusiastic about health and safety as her family has personally been affected by an occupational injury. Lisa is also an Energy Safety Canada Certified Health and Safety Internal Auditor for Sulphur Experts.
Lisa’s role with Sulphur Experts is as a Health Safety Environmentalist (HSE) Coordinator & Consultant. Lisa is the key person for Health and Safety within Sulphur Experts and keeps the company well above the recognized industry safety standards. Sulphur Experts has been recognized through many platforms such as Work Safe Alberta and GPAC as having exceptional performance in workplace health and safety.
Gorka has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with extensive experience in gas chromatography and other sampling and analytical methods associated with gas processing. Since 2006, Gorka has been involved in all analytical methods of the oil and gas industry and since 2011 in all aspects of the gas plant and refinery sampling and analytical testing work. He routinely conducts on-site gas analyses by GC and provides results for use in process evaluation and optimization. This work includes sampling within the sulphur recovery and amine units of gas processing facilities around the world.
Brent has been with Sulphur Experts Inc since 1988 and is currently the Manager of the Laboratory in the United States. Brent has completed hundreds of sulphur recovery projects in more than 50 countries and specializes in gas chromatographs. Before joining Sulphur Experts as a chromatograph specialist, Brent worked in Bovar-Western Research's Compliance Source Testing department. He has direct experience in source testing methods and executing source test programs on a wide range of different emissions sources in the petroleum refining, petrochemical, pulp and paper and power generation industries. Brent is involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant performance testing services. He has excellent knowledge of gas chromatography techniques specific to sulphur plant operations. Brent is involved in industrial source testing according to current regulatory agencies, testing including SOx, NOx, NH3, NH4, Hg, HCl, Pb and particulate emissions.
Bob is a professional consultant providing strategic consulting services in the areas of sustainable development, Environmental Management, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, and Project Management. His professional skills include interpretation and application of current environmental guidelines and regulations, environmental management and project permitting, and the ability to network with all types of stakeholders. Bob has project experience with numerous groups, including upstream and downstream oil & gas, government, pipelines, pulp and paper, energy transmission, and many associations and community initiatives. His specialties include effective leadership and team-building strengths; ability to analyze requirements, identify skills and motivate teams to complete projects. He demonstrates innovative, analytical, and productive problem-solving skills with a strong ability to identify and examine all opportunities and threats. Bob has excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with individuals in a cooperative work environment, which includes fellow workers, other stakeholders, and regulators.
Francis’ academic background is in organometallic chemistry, where he specialized in CO2 conversion and utilization. He joined Sulphur Experts in 2014 as a research chemist and analytical specialist. He currently heads up the product development group, which entails overseeing research and development initiatives from inception to completion. He is also active in the field, offering analytical support to our Sulphur and Amine plant test crews.
Fun Fact: Francis is a hobbyist beekeeper and keeps two hives in his backyard!
Floor joined our team in 2008 as a Senior Process Engineer and is now one of our Sales Engineers covering Asia. Floor has in-depth experience with project management and engineering studies as he is intimately involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting work conducted by Amine and Sulphur Experts. He specializes in Sulphur Recovery Unit revamp projects and the installation of oxygen enrichment burners at low, medium, and high levels. While a senior process engineer Floor worked diligently on plant testing and the analysis of data to improve SRU performance and he has extensive knowledge on combustion equipment for Sulphur Recovery Units. Currently, Floor provides expert advice and consulting services in the area of plant testing, plant optimization, and troubleshooting for the sour gas and oil refining industries.
Richard joined our sales team in 2015, where he manages projects for half of the United States. Richard has been in Technical Sales since 2010 when he started work for Cameron Valves and Measurement. Before that, he worked for Jacobs Technology as a Project Engineer in the Space Shuttle and Space Station programs. Richard graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2008.
Krista is an Administrative Assistant in our Calgary office with over 20 years of experience and she provides support to all our departments. Krista is a master multi-tasker and quick learner with excellent computer skills and a can-do attitude. She is responsible for purchasing and organizing seminar workbooks and textbooks for all three of our expert divisions. She brought her exceptional knowledge from her former position as an Assistant Store Manager at TELUS, where, in 2013, she earned a nomination in the 2013 TELUS CHLOE Awards Nominee - Emerging Leader category.
When Krista is off the clock, she is a wife, mom, and grandma. Krista is also an avid photographer, artist, and crazy cat lady.
Michelle has 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with most of those spent doing Production and Revenue Accounting for a variety of different facilities in Alberta and BC and a short stint in Doha, Qatar doing management accounting. Currently, she is our Accounting Administrator and her main responsibilities include AR, General Accounting, and Administration
I have had the opportunity to work with Sulphur Experts part-time for the last eight years. My role with the company is Course Coordinator, but I have also been involved with some accounting in the past. I love working with all our clients with helping them to join us at our annual technical training courses throughout the world. When I am not keeping busy with Sulphur Experts, I will be found watching my boys playing hockey, volleyball, basketball or spending time with family.
Nadine Lew is a Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years of experience and joined Sulphur Experts in 2018. As an Assistant Controller, she is responsible for the company’s day-to-day financial processes, financial reporting, tax, and audit functions.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, Nadine worked at a large transportation company where she focused on financial reporting, analysis, internal controls, and process improvements. Nadine articled at PwC and provided assurance and advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients including those in Technology, Mining, and Oil and Gas. She also worked in the PwC Tax department preparing tax returns for expatriates and high-net-worth individuals. Nadine holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary.
James assumed the position of President of Sulphur Experts in August 2014, and is responsible for all aspects of corporate performance. He is intimately familiar with all aspects of the process engineering consulting work conducted by the company and is still actively involved in sulphur recovery-related projects. James has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and nearly 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He joined Sulphur Experts in 2003 following careers in the environmental service industry, facility operations and instrumentation, and controls system design.
Ben is a Petroleum Engineer with over two decades of experience providing technical support to the amine industry as an operator, technical specialist, and consulting engineer. He joined Amine Experts in 2003 and has worked in over 25 countries on hundreds of various amine systems, providing expert assistance and advice regarding plant operations, troubleshooting, optimization, and operator training.
He has written and presented papers worldwide at various conferences such as Laurence Reid, SOGAT, NACE, and Sulphur. Ben is one of the primary speakers at Amine Expert's world-recognized Amine Treating Technical Training Course and heads our amine service practice area. He is responsible for aligning our amine services with customer needs and ensuring our position as a world leader in this area is maintained. Engineer Spooner is the key technical contact for clients seeking information and support on amine-related issues.
Michael has been involved in the gas processing industry for 43 years. He has a long history of expertise in training operators and engineers in gas processing as well as troubleshooting all aspects of upstream gas treating processes. More recently, he has focused on dehydration and amine sweetening as a senior principal engineer for both Amine and Dehydration Experts. He is one of the Principal Speakers of the Amine Experts’ 5-day Amine Treating and Sour Water Stripping Technical Training Courses, as well as the 4-day Dehydration Course.
He is an authority on gas processing and has provided technical support to over 500 facilities in every continent (except Antarctica). He has been published in the Oil and Gas Journal, Hydrocarbon Processing, LNG Magazine and Chemical Engineering magazine and has presented at various conferences, including the LRGCC, GPA Midstream, NACE, SOGAT, Sulphur, and AFPM. Michael is also a Senior Advisor to the Laurance Reid Gas Conditioning Conference in Norman, Oklahoma. He has multiple publications on topics as far-reaching as Inlet Separation and Filtration, Amine Sweetening, Glycol Dehydration, Corrosion, and Sour Water Stripping. He is also one of the principal authors of the Amine Treating and Sour Water Stripping textbook. Michael is a Professional Engineer in Alberta (APEGA), is a member of the Gas Processors Association of Canada (GPAC) and the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE).
Jan Kiebert has B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business Economics. He has over 20 years of experience and has been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering inspections, design evaluations, testing and optimization projects for a wide range of facilities and clients. Jan is also a specialist regarding burner systems for sulphur recovery plants and process incinerators.
Jan is one of the primary speakers at our world-recognized Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Courses. Since 2005 Jan has worked in more than 30 countries, conducting on-site training courses, and assisting with optimization and improvement of Sulphur Recovery Units. Before joining our team, Jan was Marketing and Sales Manager with Duiker Combustion Engineers and was involved in worldwide sales of combustion equipment.
A chemical engineer by training, since 2004 Joe has specialized in sulphur recovery and tail gas treating, as well as amine treating and sour water stripping. Joe has twelve years of experience as an engineer and technical supervisor in operating facilities in addition to his experience as a consultant. His experience includes project review and approvals, plant design and construction, commissioning and start-up, turnaround planning, and execution, failure investigations, as well as running plant optimization. He has a special focus on process safety and PHA support for gas treating and sulphur recovery units. Joe has presented at international conferences in North America, the Middle East, and South America. He is a co-presenter of Sulphur Experts’ Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Course and provides virtual and on-site training for engineers and operators around the world.
Joining Sulphur Experts in 1996, Farsin began his career with Sulphur Experts in Germany. Now in Canada, he has been directly involved in all aspects of our process engineering consulting work for over 20 years. Farsin is one of our most experienced and well-traveled sulphur plant engineers, providing expert advice and consulting services to clients around the world. His specialty areas include sulphur plant troubleshooting and process optimization.
As the Operations Manager, Farsin is responsible for developing our engineers, scientists, and technicians, and overseeing the company’s production and quality control. He is also responsible for ensuring that strategic plans are effectively aligned with daily operations, and to implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes that add value to our company services.
On a personal front, Farsin is also an avid photographer where he combines his hobby with his work and photo documents all the wonderful places he has visited.
David is a Process Engineer with Sulphur Experts and is directly involved in the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery plants, including a variety of tail gas clean-up units, sour gas processing, and oil refining industries. Before joining Sulphur Experts in 2012, David completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary. David has a direct working knowledge of sulphur recovery plant performance testing, process stream and amine sampling, process simulation optimization.
Eduardo has worked successfully on more than 80 different projects located over 5 continents performing environmental evaluations, SRU, amine and SWS, technology assessments, emissions control, troubleshooting, capacity evaluations, energy assessments and optimization, operator and engineer training. He has written publications related to process failures and has presented our papers at international conferences. Eduardo is a high-performance process engineer, focused and ready to work under pressure accomplishing challenging tasks and high standard objectives in areas related to Operations, Commercial, Engineering and Environment. He has led operation teams for 3 years and has worked very closely with petroleum, hydrotreating, natural gas facilities and SRU unit operations for over 10 years. Eduardo is leading our Business Development in Latin America providing full bilingual technical and commercial coverage around the region.
Kaiyr holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Kaiyr joined our team in 2018 and is a member of our global technical team, he is involved in amine and sulphur plant testing, troubleshooting, and optimization projects. Through his previous experience as a commissioning engineer in the EPC sector, Kaiyr was involved in engineering and construction support, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and initial operations of sulphur and amine plants and their utilities.
Steve is a Chemical Engineer with 13 years of experience in gas processing. He has been involved in natural gas projects all over the world providing knowledge and training in hydrate control, gas dehydration, gas sweetening amine, and glycol reclamation, and liquids recovery. Steve has supported these areas with expertise in plant simulation, process design, operation troubleshooting, and start-up support. Steve has been involved in the advancement of glycol reclamation technologies through research and patent development.
Tim is a Process Engineer with over 8 years of experience. He joined our team following the completion of his Engineering Degree, and since then has worked in over 20 countries providing on-site testing and troubleshooting support to clients around the globe. His primary area of expertise is sulphur plant troubleshooting and optimization.
Tim is also the Regional Engineer for Canada and is technically responsible for all of the projects in this region.
Drew is a Red Seal Journeyman Millwright with 18 years of experience in the natural gas compression and process industry. Early in his career, Drew was intensively involved in the maintenance and overhauling of low/high-speed natural gas engines and compressors. Drew gradually worked into more gas processing systems (Amine, Dehydration, Refrigeration, Frac trains), and later attended the GPO (Gas Process Operations) course offered at SAIT polytechnic. Working for various packagers over the years, Drew has been involved in the design, application, and setup of a variety of process packages and their associated equipment. In 2016 Drew became an accredited commissioner for Caterpillar 3600 series natural gas engines. Being a process specialist, Drew has been involved globally in a variety of gas processing plants. These responsibilities included construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, general operations, and troubleshooting.
Joining our team in 2019, Drew works in the Dehydration Division as a Sales Specialist. His focus is the business development of the of Dehydration Experts division, involving TEG/DEG dehydration, EG-Refrigeration, Mole sieve, and fractionation systems.
Leah Goettler is a Chemical Engineer graduate from the University of Alberta with 4 years of experience as a Process Engineer at Sulphur Experts. During that time, she has been directly involved in more than 35 different sulfur recovery plant projects, with work ranging from testing and optimization to design evaluations across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Eastern Mediterranean. She co-authored “The Impact of Biofeed Co-processing on Conventional Refinery Amine, Sour Water Stripping, and Sulphur Recovery Units”, and presented that paper at the 2021 Advanced Amine Treating and Sulphur Recovery Technical Training Course.
Logan joined our team in 2019, shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University – Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and double minors in Math and Chemistry. While at Texas A&M University, Logan completed courses that make him an asset to our team of experts. Logan is trained in Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Chemical Process Design, and Process Simulation. Logan has researched the Methanol Synthesis from Gas and has extensive experience using ASPEN and MATLAB. Logan travels to the US refineries and collects samples, he then analyzes the samples either on-site or at our lab using gas and ion chromatography.
Matthew Unsworth is a Chemical and Process Engineer passionate about sustainability and pollution mitigation. While studying in university, the issue of climate change captured Matthew’s imagination and he understood that this was a problem worth working on. As a result, he pursued an internship with Shell Canada’s Energy Transition Program, allowing him to focus his attentions on energy transition technical project development and GHG modelling. Wanting to further his training on engineering pollution mitigation technologies lead him to SGS Sulphur Experts to gain hands on experience with sulphur recovery units, amine systems and troubleshooting of oil and gas facilities. Since joining the company in June 2024, Matthew has been a part of engineering support teams for gas plant shutdowns, refinery performance evaluations, and data analysis for technical presentations and reports. Overall, Matthew is excited to see the impact of his work with global clients across 6 continents and is grateful for the opportunity to impact good stewardship of the environment at such a scale.
Megan is a process engineer with 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focused on sour water stripping. She graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2021. Her previous experience includes supporting daily operations of sour water strippers, amine plants, and sulphur recovery units at a large upgrading facility. She also has experience in Turnaround planning and execution. Megan joined our team in June 2022 and is involved in the testing and optimization of Sulphur recovery facilities, and control narrative development.
Nick Joined our team in 2022 shortly after graduating from the University of Alberta with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is currently an engineer in training working towards obtaining his professional engineer designation. Nick is involved with the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery units. Using collected samples, he simulates sulphur recovery units using ASPEN HYSIS to evaluate recovery efficiencies. He then uses those outputs to make recommendations troubleshooting issues and improving plant performance.
Pablo joined our team in 2022 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He focuses on the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery units. Using collected samples, he simulates sulphur recovery units using HYSYS and ProMax to evaluate their performance. He then uses those results, along with field observations, to make recommendations to improve plant performance and aid troubleshooting.
In his spare time, Pablo enjoys working out and being out in the elements. This includes snowboarding, hiking, running, camping and dirt biking.
Riley is a process engineer with 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, focusing on natural gas processing. His previous experience includes troubleshooting dehydration and refrigeration systems, supporting day-to-day operations at a large natural gas processing facility, and participating in HAZOP studies. He joined our team in April 2020 and has since been involved in the testing and optimization of sulphur recovery facilities, as well as providing support to our Dehydration Division. In his spare time, Riley enjoys spending time being outside golfing, hiking, and camping.
Tom joined our team in May 2012 and has since been involved in all aspects of their analytical testing work. Experience includes sampling gas and liquid process streams from sulphur recovery and amine units as well as gas and liquid analysis using gas chromatography and ion chromatography. He is involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant and amine plant performance testing services including sample collection and analysis. Tom has a competent knowledge of gas chromatographic techniques specific to sulphur plants and related process gas applications
Floor joined our team in 2008 as a Senior Process Engineer and is now one of our Sales Engineers covering Asia. Floor has in-depth experience with project management and engineering studies as he is intimately involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting work conducted by Amine and Sulphur Experts. He specializes in Sulphur Recovery Unit revamp projects and the installation of oxygen enrichment burners at low, medium, and high levels. While a senior process engineer Floor worked diligently on plant testing and the analysis of data to improve SRU performance and he has extensive knowledge on combustion equipment for Sulphur Recovery Units. Currently, Floor provides expert advice and consulting services in the area of plant testing, plant optimization, and troubleshooting for the sour gas and oil refining industries.
James assumed the position of President of Sulphur Experts in August 2014, and is responsible for all aspects of corporate performance. He is intimately familiar with all aspects of the process engineering consulting work conducted by the company and is still actively involved in sulphur recovery-related projects. James has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and nearly 30 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He joined Sulphur Experts in 2003 following careers in the environmental service industry, facility operations and instrumentation, and controls system design.
Frederic joined our team in May of 2012 and has since been involved in all aspects of our analytical testing. This analytical testing involves the sampling of the Sulphur recovery and amine units and gas and liquid analysis. He has experience sampling and analyzing gas plants using predominantly gas chromatography, in addition to infrared spectroscopy, ion chromatography and liquid chemistry analysis. Frederic graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
Christina joined our team in January 2013 and has since been involved in all aspects of our analytical testing work. Experience includes sampling gas from sulphur recovery and amine units as well as gas and liquid analysis using gas chromatography and ion chromatography. She has been involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant and amine plant performance testing services including sample collection and analysis. Christina maintains and calibrates laboratory instruments and equipment as required by the manufacturer's recommendations and ISO standards. She enjoys the outdoors with many hobbies such as snowboarding, dirt biking, kiteboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, and anything that gets the blood pumping in her spare time.

Yuy joined the Sulphur Experts family in March 2020 and is based in our Dutch office in Katwijk. She was born and raised in a small town in the province Nakhon Sawan, Thailand. At the age of 11 she moved to the Netherland and grew up in Rotterdam. Choosing a career path at 17 was a tough thing to do but Yuy knew early on she does not want to have a boring desk job. Therefore, she has chosen to study Analytical Chemistry and specialized herself in Forensic Analysis. Yuy enjoys working with her hands and having diversity in the workplace. During her years as a Chemistry student, she built up experience in different areas of Chemistry such as food, petrochemical, and polymers at different international companies. Now, working as a technologist at Sulphur Experts Yuy is very grateful she was given this opportunity. A hands-on work and travelling the world at the same time is pretty much the dream job she had in mind.

Before joining Sulphur Experts as a chromatograph specialist, Brent worked in Bovar-Western Research's Compliance Source Testing department. He has direct experience in source testing methods and executing source test programs on a wide range of different emissions sources in the petroleum refining, petrochemical, pulp and paper and power generation industries. Brent is involved with all analytical aspects of sulphur plant performance testing services. He has excellent knowledge of gas chromatography techniques specific to sulphur plant operations. Brent is involved in industrial source testing according to current regulatory agencies, testing including SOx, NOx, NH3, NH4, Hg, HCl, Pb and particulate emissions.
Francis’ academic background is in organometallic chemistry, where he specialized in CO2 conversion and utilization. He joined Sulphur Experts in 2014 as a research chemist and analytical specialist. He currently heads up the product development group, which entails overseeing research and development initiatives from inception to completion. He is also active in the field, offering analytical support to our Sulphur and Amine plant test crews.

Dan has over 15 years of experience in process-related analytical chemistry in the oil and gas industry. Dan has expertise in Gas Chromatography and Ion Chromatography, field testing, and on-site process evaluations. Dan has also worked in analytical chemistry research and development and helped develop the Sulphur Experts H2S in Liquid Sulphur FTIR Analyser. Dan has global oil and gas field experience including working on projects in 30+ countries spanning 6 different continents. In addition, Dan also has experience in environmental testing and remediation in the oil sands of northern Alberta.
Dan joined Sulphur Experts in 2006 as an Analytical Specialist and has been directly involved with testing sour oil and gas facilities and evaluating sulphur recovery processes alongside Sulphur Experts Engineers for plant optimization and reliability. He also works closely with our Amine Experts group, testing amine units. In 2009, Dan became the Regional Technologist for Europe, Asia, and The Middle East, which had him overseeing our European lab and all analytical projects within those global regions. In 2013, Dan transitioned to the corporate position of Analytical Manager, a role overseeing all the Sulphur Experts laboratories, chemists/technologists, and analytical projects.
Most recently in 2019, Dan became the Regional Manager for Canada overseeing the Canadian division’s operations.
Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Hague University of Applied Sciences. He has since joined our European office located in Katwijk, NL as a technologist, he responsible for completing high-level analytical projects. Kevin visits refineries all throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia where he collects gas and liquid samples to analyze using gas and ion chromatography. Having an active role in the field, Kevin enjoys the diversity of the analytical work Sulphur Experts conducts along with the complex engineering studies.
Olga graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2019. She is well versed with titrations, HPLC, GC-FID, GS-MS, ICP-MS, UV-VIS, IR, and IC with experience in synthesizing, analyzing, and isolating various compounds via SPE, liquid-liquid extraction distillation, and vacuum filtration. Olga has unique experience using spectroscopic and chromatographic methods such as UV-Vis, AAS, flame and plasma emission methods, liquid, gas and ion chromatography. She is intimately involved in all our analytical work including on-site sampling and gas analysis via gas chromatograph working within sulphur recovery units and amine treating systems throughout Canada. In addition to her strong analytical background and in-depth understanding of natural sciences and mathematics, she brings stellar client communication skills as she is fluent in English, Romanian, Russian, and Spanish!

Caroline joined our team in 2006 and is involved in chemical analyses, lab equipment maintenance and logistics. She performs routine wet lab analyses which include SWS titrations and Ion Chromatograph analysis for NH3, NOX, SO2. Caroline is responsible for keeping an inventory of all chemicals, gases, instruments, and supplies for the lab and fieldwork. She handles shipping, tracking, and receiving of field equipment for jobs which include creating shipping lists, commercial invoices, and shipper’s declaration for dangerous goods for our Calgary office in Alberta, Canada.
Skyler is a certified Engineering Technologist with extensive experience in gas chromatography and other sampling and analytical methods associated with gas processing. Since 2006, Skyler has been involved in all aspects of the gas plant and refinery sampling and analytical testing work. Joining Sulphur Experts in 2006, Lisa has a strong background in Health and Safety. She specializes in developing, recommending, and overseeing the implementation of policies and procedural frameworks, systems and standards guiding the implementation of a safety program. Along with providing expert advisory services and monitoring the delivery of safety programs. She holds a diploma and numerous certificates from accredited institutions in environment, health, and safety. She has 14+ years of related health and safety experience, and extensive knowledge of the OH&S Act, regulations, and industry best practices, for Canada, the USA, and Europe. She is a self-motivated team player and is enthusiastic about health and safety as her family has personally been affected by an occupational injury. Lisa is also an Energy Safety Canada Certified Health and Safety Internal Auditor for Sulphur Experts.
Lisa’s role with Sulphur Experts is as a Health Safety Environmentalist (HSE) Coordinator & Consultant. Lisa is the key person for Health and Safety within Sulphur Experts and keeps the company well above the recognized industry safety standards. Sulphur Experts has been recognized through many platforms such as Work Safe Alberta and GPAC as having exceptional performance in workplace health and safety.

Joining our team in 2019, Drew works in the Dehydration Division as a Sales Specialist. His focus is the business development of the of Dehydration Experts division, involving TEG/DEG dehydration, EG-Refrigeration, Mole sieve, and fractionation systems.
Floor joined our team in 2008 as a Senior Process Engineer and is now one of our Sales Engineers covering Asia. Floor has in-depth experience with project management and engineering studies as he is intimately involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting work conducted by Amine and Sulphur Experts. He specializes in Sulphur Recovery Unit revamp projects and the installation of oxygen enrichment burners at low, medium, and high levels. While a senior process engineer Floor worked diligently on plant testing and the analysis of data to improve SRU performance and he has extensive knowledge on combustion equipment for Sulphur Recovery Units. Currently, Floor provides expert advice and consulting services in the area of plant testing, plant optimization, and troubleshooting for the sour gas and oil refining industries.
Dan has over 15 years of experience in process-related analytical chemistry in the oil and gas industry. Dan has expertise in Gas Chromatography and Ion Chromatography, field testing, and on-site process evaluations. Dan has also worked in analytical chemistry research and development and helped develop the Sulphur Experts H2S in Liquid Sulphur FTIR Analyser. Dan has global oil and gas field experience including working on projects in 30+ countries spanning 6 different continents. In addition, Dan also has experience in environmental testing and remediation in the oil sands of northern Alberta.
Dan joined Sulphur Experts in 2006 as an Analytical Specialist and has been directly involved with testing sour oil and gas facilities and evaluating sulphur recovery processes alongside Sulphur Experts Engineers for plant optimization and reliability. He also works closely with our Amine Experts group, testing amine units. In 2009, Dan became the Regional Technologist for Europe, Asia, and The Middle East, which had him overseeing our European lab and all analytical projects within those global regions. In 2013, Dan transitioned to the corporate position of Analytical Manager, a role overseeing all the Sulphur Experts laboratories, chemists/technologists, and analytical projects.
Most recently in 2019, Dan became the Regional Manager for Canada overseeing the Canadian division’s operations.
Since 1999, Derek has been directly involved in all aspects of the process engineering consulting work. He has provided expert advice and technical support in plant inspections, testing and plant optimization for the sour gas and oil refining industries. This includes working on plant optimization projects in more than 100 operating facilities around the world. Derek is the Director of Global Business Development, in this role he oversees all commercial and marketing strategies, manages sales staff, and plays a key role in bridging commercial and production resources in the company.
Richard joined our sales team in 2015, where he manages projects for half of the United States. Richard has been in Technical Sales since 2010 when he started work for Cameron Valves and Measurement. Before that, he worked for Jacobs Technology as a Project Engineer in the Space Shuttle and Space Station programs. Richard graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2008.
Toine joined Sulphur Experts Inc. in 2022 as the Director of US and Latin America. With a strong background in sales management, strategic planning, and business analysis, Toine is bringing years of experience and successful operations to our team. He will play an essential role in leading and managing US and LATAM Operations, providing strategic and operational input as well as being knowledgeable on all projects executed in the region. Toine has experience in P&L statements, refinery operations, process engineering and environmental services through his time managing multiple teams across the oil and gas industry in both the US and Europe. Toine has vast knowledge of the amine hygiene sector and has played a critical role in the evolution of industry-leading reclaiming technology. He has a strong background in chemical engineering coupled with a client-focused approach to sales, allowing him to bridge the gap between commercial and operational challenges to ensure smooth operations for our staff and our clients.
In his free time, Toine is the President of the NAF Houston Business Exchange Subcommittee, representing the Houston Region in the Netherlands American Business Council. This council is aimed at helping companies from the Netherlands that are interested in doing business within the United States. He is a part of the planning process to arrange periodic networking meetings and offers a range of services to encourage and facilitate the growth of bilateral trade business relationships between the Netherlands and Texas. As a Dutch guy himself, Toine enjoys spending time outside of work on his bicycle.
Blake is a Chemical Engineering Technologist with more than sixteen years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Blake has experience in a wide range of sampling activities including high pressure reservoir fluid, well head, and separator-based systems. Blake has worked in several types of laboratories over his career and has experience with phase behavior studies, gas chromatography, and other related oil and gas analytical testing. Beyond field work he also has extensive experience in field project management, sales, and asset management.
Krista is an Administrative Assistant in our Calgary office with over 20 years of experience and she provides support to all our departments. Krista is a master multi-tasker and quick learner with excellent computer skills and a can-do attitude. She is responsible for purchasing and organizing seminar workbooks and textbooks for all three of our expert divisions. She brought her exceptional knowledge from her former position as an Assistant Store Manager at TELUS, where, in 2013, she earned a nomination in the 2013 TELUS CHLOE Awards Nominee - Emerging Leader category.
When Krista is off the clock, she is a wife, mom, and grandma. Krista is also an avid photographer, artist, and crazy cat lady.
Michelle has 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with most of those spent doing Production and Revenue Accounting for a variety of different facilities in Alberta and BC and a short stint in Doha, Qatar doing management accounting. Currently, she is our Accounting Administrator and her main responsibilities include AR, General Accounting, and Administration
I have had the opportunity to work with Sulphur Experts part-time for the last eight years. My role with the company is Course Coordinator, but I have also been involved with some accounting in the past. I love working with all our clients with helping them to join us at our annual technical training courses throughout the world. When I am not keeping busy with Sulphur Experts, I will be found watching my boys playing hockey, volleyball, basketball or spending time with family.
Nadine Lew is a Chartered Accountant with more than 10 years of experience and joined Sulphur Experts in 2018. As an Assistant Controller, she is responsible for the company’s day-to-day financial processes, financial reporting, tax, and audit functions.
Prior to joining Sulphur Experts, Nadine worked at a large transportation company where she focused on financial reporting, analysis, internal controls, and process improvements. Nadine articled at PwC and provided assurance and advisory services to a broad spectrum of clients including those in Technology, Mining, and Oil and Gas. She also worked in the PwC Tax department preparing tax returns for expatriates and high-net-worth individuals. Nadine holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary.
Joining Sulphur Experts in 1996, Farsin began his career with Sulphur Experts in Germany. Now in Canada, he has been directly involved in all aspects of our process engineering consulting work for over 20 years. Farsin is one of our most experienced and well-traveled sulphur plant engineers, providing expert advice and consulting services to clients around the world. His specialty areas include sulphur plant troubleshooting and process optimization.
As the Operations Manager, Farsin is responsible for developing our engineers, scientists, and technicians, and overseeing the company’s production and quality control. He is also responsible for ensuring that strategic plans are effectively aligned with daily operations, and to implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes that add value to our company services.
On a personal front, Farsin is also an avid photographer where he combines his hobby with his work and photo documents all the wonderful places he has visited.
