Process Engineer
Engineers have an active role in the company from conducting on-site support to remote plant simulations and delivering in-depth performance studies – our engineers make up the majority of our team. From Engineers-In-Training up to Principal Engineers, we will have a role for you that allows for personal growth and career expansion.
Engineering Duties Include:
- Plant operating data collection
- Project planning and coordination
- Sample collection including gas and liquid samples from process streams
- Data interpretation, including the use of simulation models
- Preparation of reports
- Participation in internal R&D and method development
Candidates should have a degree in chemical or process engineering and have a good understanding of gas processing and sulphur recovery processes and exhibit strong analytical skills. Extensive travel including international travel is required and candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to obtain a passport. Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial setting and will be required to obtain a variety of safety certifications including First Aid, H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry etc. Participation in a drug and alcohol testing program is required.
Analytical Specialist
Our analytical specialists are data-driven and solution-oriented, with an equal amount of responsibilities in the field and the lab. Whether you are in the field collecting samples or in the laboratory operating research-grade machinery, the absolute precision of our analyst is unmatched.
Analytical Specialist Duties Include:
- Sample collection including gas and liquid samples from process streams
- Perform GC equipment calibrations and maintain GC equipment
- Perform GC and FTIR analysis in the field
- Participate in internal R&D and method development
- Preparation of analytical reports
- Equipment maintenance
- Assistance with shipping equipment
Candidates should have a good working knowledge of gas chromatography and FTIR methods and exhibit strong analytical skills with approx. 5 years of directly-related experience. Candidates must have strong analytical and report writing skills, with a proven track record.

Dehydration Principal Engineer & Product Champion
The Dehydration Principal Process Engineer and Product Champion will provide process engineering leadership, technical expertise and support to the project team, ensuring that technical excellence, cost, schedule and contractual requirements are achieved. It will be a hands-on position that involves testing / troubleshooting work with significant travel, both domestically and internationally. In sequence, this individual will be tasked to build a competent engineering team to support and grow the product line. The position will also include financial planning and accountability, and strategic marketing components as well.
This individual will initially report to the Director of Business Development as they will provide support to grow the product line, where it will eventually be turned over to the Production Manager. The Dehydration product line will have the full analytical support of the analytical department already established.
Location: Calgary, Alberta or Kemah, Texas
Education & Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized university with a bachelor’s degree in chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent.
- 10-15 years’ experience working in a multi-project industrial setting in downstream oil and gas or related industry.
- Minimum ten years dehydration and refrigeration experience.
- Minimum two years amine experience.
- In-house and/or large seminar presentation experience.
- Appetite to grow and lead a product division.
- A business development acumen.
- Proven track record in supervising the work of other engineers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Valid passport and driver’s license.
- Successful participation in drug and alcohol testing program.
- Commitment to safety and safe workplace practices.
Responsibilities
- Execute engineering activities with the objective of meeting the defined contractual scope to the relevant codes, standards and company procedures.
- Provide senior onsite technical support to dehydration unit operators.
- Build client relationships at the field and corporate level.
- Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in product line budgeting and financial reporting.
- Able to recruit and develop new staff.
- Supervise engineering and technical staff including the development and support of a training program for the product line.
- Present training materials at the Dehydration Experts technical training courses.
- Participate in internal research and development and method development.
- Plan and coordinate projects.
- Perform field test tasks including sample point preparation, sample collection, data collection and sample analysis.
- Lead field test projects including job setup, preparation and execution.
- Conduct full range of engineering calculations.
- Provide direct technical support and advice to external clients, including preparation and presentation of reports.
- Collect and interpret data, including process simulation modeling.
- Provide general support and assistance to senior team members.
- Provide technical support to sales staff for determination of project scope.
- Prepare reports and technical reviews.
- Review engineering reports from other engineering staff.
- Participate in company safety meetings.
- Complete personal time sheets and expense reports.
