Dehydration Experts conducts a range of specialized engineering evaluation services tailored to meet the needs of dehydration and refrigeration system operators. Our Engineering Services include:
Dehydration Experts can evaluate any piece of equipment within the dehydration or refrigeration plant to determine if the performance is optimal or sub par. We will determine if the equipment is being operated properly and within the intended design specifications. Equipment needing cleaning, repair or replacement will be identified.
Over time, the inlet gas flows and composition to the dehydration or refrigeration plant may change. Dehydration Experts will evaluate the capacity of the plant to handle these changes and what operational adjustments or equipment replacements would be needed. Especially in the event glycol circulation rate changes are recommended, complete evaluation of the system is necessary, including:
- Absorber and regenerator hydraulic review (flooding, weeping, gas velocity)
- Heat exchanger effective area, and velocity calculations
- Reboiler duties
- Filtration capacity
- Piping velocity
- Injection nozzle selection
In addition to overall plant capacity, the same above items can also be reviewed for plant turndown. Based on equipment limitations, the processing capacity of a plant may have a minimum flow to maintain proper operation.
With the increasing restrictions on emissions levels, evaluation of the current GHG and BTEX levels being emitted from a dehydration or refrigeration plant are critical to future operation. Dehydration Experts can evaluate the current expected emissions levels, and advise on improved operating parameters to lower the emissions from the plant. Additionally, selection of new or replacement equipment required to lower emissions can be identified.
